GYDA
Had my brand new Fiesta ST for about 3 weeks now, about a week & half in i started to notice a bit of a rattle on my side of the car whenever i was going over a bump, thought nothing of it but now its basically there all the time, even when im pulling off from traffic lights etc. Defiantly the drivers side of the car, almost sounds like a glass bottle kind of rattle, i've rang Ford up but the guy who deals with me is out on a test drive so i left him a message. Anyway took my mate out in it and he doesn't think its anything to be concerned about, he said its not worth them pulling the car apart to try find the location of this rattling, thought i'd post on here for anyones opinions? MattDRX
Welcome to Ford Fiesta ST ownership is all I can say, the rattles settle down after a bit. does it get worse with the stereo on loud? just to determine if it's trim or not? GYDA
Haha i posted this thread then had a quick gander round the forum and see its common, my bad! Can't say ive notice whether the stereo affects it or not mate, so is it worth just telling the ford guy it doesn't matter when he rings back then? Phil 87
It might be worth waiting for a while to see if it gets better or worse, and see if you can figure out if it's coming from a piece of trim by pressing on some parts while you're driving. If you can't figure out what it is I'd take it to Ford.
Clarky2013
I have this rattle aswell. I've had the door card off and checked everything but all seems to be secure, I think it's where 2 bits of plastic trim meet and it creates a slight rattle. Even the dealer cannot find anything loose.
