Who has the most expensive car insurance for a Ford Fiesta?

Mine was £2178.54 directline with drive plus box for a 2014 Titanium X 1.0 ecoboost 100ps.

Probably so much because I'm only 17 with a crash already on the books!

Gordon Bennet, I feel for you, Will. At 17 I think I paid £15 per year for an A35 van (I earned £5 per week). If I had to pay £2k even now, it'd be canal jumping in time.

Paying £1100 a year for my 59 fiesta. I'm 17 and have not even passed my test, which is in a week. After that it's probably going to be £2000-3000.

I paid £650 for the year (1 year NC, license held 9 months) but it's a pretty strict policy - I can't drive any other cars on it (at all), and I can't have any modifications (at all). That was with insure.co.uk but via comparethemarket and the actual policy is with Aviva (I have no clue how that works, lol).

£450 for zetec s 140. Got mine with direct line. Always find aviva and direct line the cheapest. 3 years no claims, no accidents or penalties

I feel so sorry for new drivers! My nephew has just passed his test and bought his first car (a Ka, so I've pointed him to this 'ere owner's club!!) and his insurance is eye-watering!!

In some cases it can depend on what voluntary access you have, not a lot have £0 as the insurance is a mad price

then, mine aint that bad on it and your post code/area makes a big change.

£500 this year. That's with 20k per year mileage, european cover and legal cover. So not bad at all I think. Fortunately I live in a 0 crime postcode, so that helps my insurance. I have had my license for a year and have 1 year NCB. Come summer time It'll be an ST150 for me!

Funny story: Sheila's Wheels wouldn't insure my van, because it's not a car. Despite the fact that it's a flippin' Fiesta - which I pointed out to them, thusly: "IT'S A RUDDY FIESTA!!! WITHOUT ANY BACK SEATS!!!"

Nope, Sheila's computer said "No" - but they would insure my handbag, they said...

I'm an engineer. My handbag weighs a ton*. I could do FAR more damage whacking someone round the ear with my handbag than I could with my car/van/whatever-it-is...

Numpties!!

:D

* Make up, tool kit, sandwiches, spare sandwiches, snacks...
