My 13 plate Fiesta titanium stop start system seems to have stopped working all together, I've tried everything but nothing seems to work, their's no light on the dash saying its not working and I even looked to see if their were any messages in the vehicle settings but nothing, It's only done 11,300 miles aswell, I do do a 6 mile commute to work but its been working ok, anyone know what the problem might me?, I know stop start system's don't work as much at this time of year but mines not working at all.

Thanks Nick.

How high is ur EATC on? Because it won't kick in unless it's lower than the temp of the car

Mines works fine but if you set a higher temp on ur EATC it will not use start stop until cabin is same temp as you have set

I've tried everything with that, off, I tried putting it on low, high, it just doesn't want to work at all, even after my 6 mile drive back home, I turned everything off, and it still didn't work

last year I could leave it on 19.5 or 20 and it would work, now it just doesn't work no matter what the EATC is on, and turning it off doesn't do anything either

Absolutely.

It's probably the weather. Mine doesn't work on my commute to work. It only starts to work when it's warmed up. Does it not work when the temp gauge is in the middle?

Not sure this is right? Mine will kick in before the cabin is up to temperature. It does depend on engine temperature and battery charge level.

Yeah that's right too it basically wait till cars ready then makes cabin ready but Defo doesn't work in mines unless the temp is right on the EATC same as in cabin bud I know this because I was wondering why it wasn't kicking in and that's why

Strange, I've got the climate on 22 full auto and I've definitely been stuck in queues when it's been a bit cool inside at the start of a journey with the engine stopped.

I've never had that bud :/ hmmmmm do you have ac on With autofan? Or just autofan?

Always leave the leave it full auto with AC, it's better for the AC system and keeps the inside of the car mist free.

The stop start won't kick in until the engine has warmed up a bit, but by that time the heat has only just started to come through to the cabin. It isn't cold but just not fully upto temp.

See a have autofan with no ac on and it works the business mate stops engine when cabins upto temp never had it kick in untill cabin is upto temp :/ am going out car in a second when I finish work al double check but I've never had it start stop when cabin is cold (not upto temp) but if I switch the eatc off all together startstop kicks in

I just believed that that particular side of battery hasnt charged enough in relation to what you're using so doesnt stop.

Noticed last couple days my stop start hasnt worked at all. Probably battery taking a pounding but drive 10 miles to work in morning and 10 back in evening. Ive deliberately tried activating it at lights and on arriving home bur nope, not having it.

On starting uo ut goes through the orange to green to off, so presume its still functioning

I normally have mine on about 21 or 22 and it cuts in and out once the engine has started to get warm.

Did I imagine it or did I read on here there was a software update to stop the EATC effecting the stop/start so much?

Got told when I went into the main dealer that if the battery is below 75% charged it won't work, so went home charged it up, the green light on the charger came on after 20 minutes went on a 10 mile drive with everything off and it still not working, so it's going in next Monday, find it very strange as another members said when the ignition is turned on the stop start light on the dash goes from orange to green so you would think if it wasn't working it would go orange.

Maybe a sensor to tell it your in nuetral or clutch not depressed or car not moving. Be interested what it is when you get it fixed
