Side Light Replacement, Help!!

2012 fiesta metal.

So basically I have already changed the dip beams now I'm onto my side lights. Took a bit of figuring out to get to the bulb.

Now I'm hear I can't get the old bulb out to put the new in? I either have completely the wrong thing or I'm missing something really obvious!

Help would be much appreciated

Thanks!

I don't think that's the side light bulb doesn't look like a 501 to me. Are you sure you haven't taken the full beam bulb out instead. 501 bulbs should look like these http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-W5W-Twenty20-Endurance-Bulb-pair.html?bulb_search=car

Sorry just looked at the pic again the 501 bulb should just pull out of the top of the housing and the other should slide in where it's come out from.
