Sorry mate was working early yesterday morning and had a very rough week with some new life experiences,

Not my usual self since monday,

Ive checked the list above and you have all 100% correct,

I would add a pair of latex gloves for use when fitting because the oils in human skin can damage the surfaces on all these bulbs imparing light quality,

All of the bulb confuguration is identical to the mk2.5 aswell which is good to know too

Borrow a few petrol station forecourt ones if its just to protect the bulb glass!

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Ford OC mobile app

Can also be bought in the likes of DEALZ or pound shops,

Good to have a pair in boot compartment next to spare wheel, i work in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals so sort of freely available to me in various grades

Thanks Lenny - I purchase a box of latex gloves when I installed Front & Rear Climair wind deflectors. So now I just keep the spares in the boot of my car I've also used them when I changed the bulbs in the boot to LED Bulbs

No prob all sorted now except for the reverse bulbs.

Also when fitting the parking bulbs you may need to remove them, rotate bulb 180 degrees and refit due to led's being fixed polarity but im sure you knew this from fitting the boot lights.

Lenny - Thanks for the advice and help.

I have now purchased all new bulbs for my front lights (Inc. Wing Mirror Bulbs) came to just under £75. I am hoping to fit at the weekend as I'm in work all week. Whilst fitting these bulbs I'll remove the tail light and check the fitments for the reversing light and the fog lights.

I've been taking a look at your build feed and I've gotta say your attention to detail is second-to-none the way you are installing your audio upgrade is seriously making me consider doing mine.

no problem mate, that's a good price for all,

I recommend getting headlight alignment done after fitting for optimum results,

I'm working nights not in until 23:00 tomorrow night lol

Thanks very much mate,

Its the planning and fitting that i enjoy the most, i like to be modified but appear to be factory done.

The big install week will be in June stripping out the interior, sound proofing then installing it all including PlayStation 2 and a digital tv tuner lmfao

Keep telling myself "shir ya might aswell put it in too while you have it stripped"

Im taking the next few weeks off from working on the build thread but will return to it in April, need a few weeks off to recapture the enjoyment of the process as the purchasing has been quite intence since September 2014 i need a few week to recap on plans and avoid double purchases which leaves me with excess stock.

Ill be creating guides on:

Installing a sub

Installing 4 channel amp

Information on soundproofing

Charging a capacitor

I can coach you through the process of doing it yourself no problem.

I've currently got some brand new vibe audio items for sale if your interested in fitting an amp it would save you a bit on cost.

5 Metre Vibe Slick RCA cable

5 Metre Vibe 4AWG power cable

3 Metre Vibe 4 AWG power cable

3 X Vibe in line fuse box's

2 x Vibe 8AWG crimp ring terminals

5 Metre vibe 8AWG power cable

1 Metre Vibe 8AWG earth cable

2 x Vibe 8AWG fork crimp terminals

3 x Rolls Vibe FlatBass 13AWG audio feed cable 3 metres per roll

All brand new excess stock for sale, ive listed on eBay but can strike a deal if interested in a few items,

You would benefit most from this if fitting a 4 or 5 channel as i can supply the second RCA without the need for you to purchase two vibe amp kits.

If fitting two amps,

I can supply all required to power your mono amp.

NO pressure though mate these items are quite popular and will surly sell weather you purchase or someone else im just sayin i have them available tis all.

Ill still assist you weather you purchase from me or not

Thanks very much for comments.

Also heres a link to my build if anyone reading via Google is interested to know what build were discussing its here:

I can't wait to install these new bulbs and see the results. I also purchase a Torx Ratchet Screwdriver (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMTECH-Mini-Stubby-Ratchet-Wrench-Screwdriver-Socket-Tool-Bit-Set-Philips-Torx-/191454302767?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c9390d22f) as I needed a T30 bit to remove the headlight casing.

I'm going to look at the Fitment for the Side Skirts whilst changing the bulbs I do believe they are held in by clips.

Thanks for the offer of the New Parts for an audio upgrade but I'm still not 100% as to weather I'll be doing it.

Some of the mods that I want to do after this after mainly for when we have nice weather, whenever that'll be lol.

Thats a nice set there,

Ive added that to my watch list, saw a "ROC" branded set identical to that in DIY store at Christmas they wanted 28 euro,

Ill need the large Torx to remove the seats for sound deadening application.

Gently tighten Torx on headlight tabs mate there quite brittle so just tight enough to grip is sufficient.

I'm going to look at the Fitment for the Side Skirts whilst changing the bulbs I do believe they are held in by clips.

Mk2 & Mk2.5 were Torx bolts and clips,

Same torx bolts used to hold the replacement skirts.

No prob i ment to tell you there last week I've found the company whom manufactures the custom 10" sub enclosure for the mk2 focus is Basser in Poland

Website: www.basser.pl

Perhaps contact them for upcoming info if there making one for the Mk3 focus,

Be a shame to fit somthing yourself then see them release a custom enclosure maybe contact them before going for alternative.

+1 its snowing over here,

Hopefully june/july will be good or ill need to invest in a large rectangular gazebo lol

You can get a good screwdriver bit set from screwfix, comes with multiple bits of the popular sizes too.

I bought a ratcheting handle from them too, but its lost the little ball that keeps the bit in place so just falls out now. The bit set is fantastic for the price though.

I thought it was a pretty good set as well will do for an investment as no doubt I may need it in the future. I am aware of gently tightening the torx as the bracket is plastic so I don't want to snap it, but thanks for the heads up.

Mk2 & Mk2.5 were Torx bolts and clips,

Same torx bolts used to hold the replacement skirts.

When I've checked the fitment on the skirts I'll let you know what they are for your reference also might help if anyone else asks you.

I emailed them yesterday and go this reply:

I do not know when we will be doing the boxes.

Ford is a little populernym car in Poland (not all watch Top Gear :)

If it's on sale for sure you can buy on eBay or here:

Doesn't look very promising.

It started to snow over here as well last night then again this morning it seems to have stopped though now. If you had to invest in a Gazebo I would suggest one that comes with sides and a back that way it keeps all the weather out but then again lets hope for some nice weather lol

Progress Update: Took the day off work and turns out its a nice sunny day. So I decided to fit my new bulbs. All bulbs are now changed apart from the Front Indicator bulbs and the Wing Mirror Indicator Bulbs. I have the bulbs I wish to change these to but when I went to change the front ones I came across a problem the manual says to turn the bulb connector anti-clockwise to get to the bulb (I can see that clockwise locks it as it says on the fitment) but everytime I tried it just wouldn't unlock. I applied quite a bit of pressure as well.

Anybody changed the Front Indicator Bulbs on a MK3 Focus that can advice. I'm wondering if I take the bulbs I want them changed to over to Halfords if they would swap them over for me?

Night Pictures will be up as soon as I take them.

Lenny - Thanks for the recommendations on the bulbs they look good and I've only seen them in sunlight lol.

On the drivers side, sidelight casing it looks as though it has burnt slightly any ideas what could of caused this, best pictures I could get below.

^There are 4 of these on each side^

Then it looks like there is something holding the Side Skirt on the front wheel arch.

When you say "burnt" do you mean the very rolled edge of the place the bulb goes?

That just looks like either manufacturing discolouration or normal heating/cooling cycles, when you need to worry is if you start seeing soot or obviously melted plastic/charring on the bulb connectors/connector themselves.

Pictures don't really do them as much justice as in real life. Recommend all these bulbs.

It is rolled edge and sort blackish colour this is hole where the Side Light passes through to fit into the headlight. The fitments of the actual light haven't been affected as in the connectors.

Thats normal as T10 bulbs get hot but led's dont get as hot.

I recommend going for headlight alignment after you get the indicator bulbs fitted to get the most from your headlights.

I'm going to try again to see if I unlock the indicator fitment myself, if it doesn't work this time then I may have to get someone else to do it for me. Would Halfords change the bulbs even though I didn't buy the new ones from them?

Also I had a look at the Side Skirts and the fitments for that I have take a picture of the fitments.

Do the Side Skirt fitments look the same as the Mk2 & Mk2.5? If it is I think the only tool need to remove them is a flat head screwdriver to pop the clips out.

I've also located a fitting kit for the Side Skirts I'd buy so if any clips break when removing I'd have spare (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-NEW-FORD-FOCUS-ST-SIDE-SKIRTS-FITTING-KIT-FITS-2012-MODELS-ON-/251430161707?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a8a67cd2b)

Then if I fit the above I'd have to go for the Zetec S Rear Diffuser and the Front Spoiler but if I got Ford to do it they seem expensive and that's just primed parts not asked for a price on Spray & Installation. The parts are cheaper on Ford Parts UK but I'm unsure of places which would Spray them and Install them. Is there any well known companies which would do this?

Also do you know anywhere where I could get Ford Focus MK3 mudflaps with Focus written on or even if they do them?

I'm jumping the gun here a bit as I've jumped from page 1 to page 12 (will read the rest with great interest when I have time lol). Lenny (the great) suggested a slimline sub. These have been out for years. I'd recommend placing one of those slim subs in a shallow box same shape as your rear shelf. It'll be out of the way and so stealth. Back in the 90's I auditioned a mk2 golf and it sounded brilliant. Much power and the sub was amazing. The guy said look in the boot. I did. Where's the sub I asked. Look hard. I did and gave up lol. He amazed me when he showed me where it was. Hope this helps. Oh. That shelf box was no deeper than 3 inches but that volume is still quite big.

This has took rather a backseat for now due to a bereavement of a family member.....

Although I have now priced up all the parts for the Zetec S (BodyKit) and have emailed Ford for a quote on Spray & Installation. The kit includes Front Bumper Skirt, Rear Bumper Skirt with Diffuser, Side Skirts, Rear Spoiler and Front Grill (Honeycomb Style).

The dashcam was an unsuccessful install as I couldn't get the glovebox out, since then I have decide against the dashcam I originally bought so that one is now for sale along with an installation kit.

The sound system hasn't had anything done as yet but I have found a place which does custom boxes for subs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Side-stealth-sub-speaker-enclosure-box-build-any-vehicle-space-save-8-10-12-NEW-/151701153457?

Just waiting to see when they have the mould for a MK3 Focus I will be contacting them shortly to keep me informed if they have any.

Also looking at getting a Private Reg Plate (But unsure if I want a slogan underneath )

Why not the dash cam? Was it the 0805 you chose?

Sorry to learn about your family bereavement Steven. About the body kit you've priced up. How much? Save your money pal. You don't need the front bumper as it's the same. Just paint the lower black trim bits. Dead easy. Paint the side skirts as they're the same too. As for the rear bumper look on flee bay as there's always one for sale which probably will need a slight repair and spray. This will cost about all in with paint about 250 quid. Bet Ford are quoting in excess of 2 grand. All the best pal.

It is the Mini 0805. I've still got it but I'm unable to remove the glovebox to fit, it just won't come out after taking out all 4 screws. I've since seen another which looks sleeker but I'm now unsure if I want one.

Thank you..... Parts direct from Ford are £1,502.00 that doesn't include Spray & Installation, but I've found the parts on Ford Parts UK for £1,250.00 so that's a £252.00 saving already.

The Front Skirt sticks out further plus it has a black aerofoil.

The Side Skirts I have consider just getting painted but the cost of paint them vs having them changed over isn't that much.

The Rear Skirt with Diffuser are very hard to come across on eBay.

After the kit is fitted I looking to put some side stripes and possibly OTT stripes, not quite sure yet how I want these to look so if any of you have had these done on you MK3 Focus be nice to see some pictures.

Nice job done there Steven. Silver on the mk3 standard car looks crap to me But on the ST or zetec s it looks good. What size rims are you running at the moment? When I got my titx it had 18's on but I got them swapped for 17's as the car looks so much better.
