Sub Frame

Hi guys. Me again with another problem. I swear my luck with cars is just not getting any better. So as you may know I had my clutch, dmf etc .. Etc ... Changed last year and the guy dropped the sub frame but in the process one if the nuts came free at the rear. To my knowledge the rear nuts are mig welded to the chassis but are hidden. How do I get to this nut? I'm really losing all patience with this peice of c**p. :-)

have you got a haynes manual?

It shows the nuts are just that - nuts. Nothing welded or special there. It only offers an advisory of needing a dealer tool for the subframe bushes, so just be careful.

Know what nuts your on about, subframe bolt that hold subframe to body, sounds like been crossthreaded and kept tightening until nut pulls from body?

They should be standard but if they are stripped you might struggle

Yeah been to a garage today and you have to it a hole in footwell to access the nut and spot weld the nut back to the body. :-/
