hollycl_
Hi, On discovering one of my front spring coils had snapped (luckily while it was parked!), I've decided since I have to replace the springs, I may as well lower it. When I was trying to take the strut out to take the broken spring off, I noticed the strut is attached to the car by some kind of rotary arm (as picture attached). When I try to loosen the nut shown, the bolt and nut turn together. I can't grip it from the back as it's covered by the socket joint. Can anyone tell me how to get this bolt out and back in with minimal damage? I've tried to research how to do it but there only seems to be guides on newer models, which have a different mechanism. Thanks!! (I have a 2004 Mk 6 Fiesta Zetec S TDCi, pre-facelift) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
stef123
The anti roll bar drop link, should have a hex or torx fitting in the middle to hold it while you undo the nut. Sometimes they do have to be destroyed to get them off I'm afraid
