Kevinm84
Hi all, My Ford Focus 2000 1.8 hatchback failed it's mot, one of the things was the near-side headlamp, which has deteriorated. I have purchased a new headlamp and am currently waiting to recieve it. But I am wondering how easy, or difficult the job will be the replace it?? Is it better to get the garage to fit it for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kev
alz
Hi Kevin, there are a couple of screws ( star drives) on top of the light and one at the bottom under the wheel arch, you will need to remove wheel and cover to get to that one. Kevinm84
Hi Alan, Thanks for the reply, so not easy to get to those bottom screws, I don't really want to be removing the wheel. It might bit a job for the garage to do.
alz
Hi Kev, its an easy job just basic tools needed, if car maintenance isn't your cup of tea, a garage is fine, it will just be the labour costs as you have a headlight on the way. if you know the garage you may get a good deal..
