Will definately be following this thread, genuinely tempted to change to a DST (Derv St haha) Mondeo in a month or two, depends on if the focus needs painted again -_- Edit: Also, this might sound daft, but I would hugely appreciate it haha, the lower centre grill on the ST mondeos, you couldn't do me a favour and measure it? Sounds stupid I know -_- Hahaha

dohboy78
Have you got the exhaust fitted yet mate? We need a sound video for proof :D Unfortunately not... Injured my back at work on Tuesday night... Been signed off on the "Pat and Mick" for 2 weeks. Could hardly stand yesterday... But today feel bit better. May try crawling under my motor tomorrow if all is well. The Doc did say to stay active!! Will defo get a before and after vid done. dohboy78
So started the day well... Back felt good. It was decided that I will tackle the zorst. Popped over to my Dads house to grab the ramps... Oh dear... They are missing (Maybe stolen along with a cast iron bath). So headed back into town to Halfrauds... Luckily had a 13% off voucher. Picked up a set of ramps for £34. Fought the traffic home... Now 13:30!! Managed to get the car up onto the ramps and had a gander. First two bolts on one flexi came off with some abuse... But the other 2 stuck fast. Out comes the angel grinder... Free at last. Slipped the mounts off... Chopped the rear pipe just before the anti-roll bar and off it came. (2 hrs later). The JP system was offered up, mounts attached and loosely bolted together... It flew on. Nipped tight and tips popped on. Turned the key and got a nice deep burble. Few revs and some pops. Very happy. Not able to take it on the road just yet due to painkillers zoning me out. Got a before vid, but not got an after yet. Think I may upgrade some of the mounts as the very back section catches on the suspension. Think the JP weighs more so puts more stress on the rubber mounts. JC600
Looks good mate, you could get some poly exhaust mounts....loads better and don't stretch like the rubber ones. Or put jubilee clips around the rubber mounts and tighten them till you get the right height. :)

dohboy78
Adjusted exhaust following JP instructions... Doesn't fowl suspension anymore but still looks low on the right hand side.
dohboy78
Did this today... Very happy with the finish... Was quick too. Popped the grills off, keyed up, cleaned with spirits and started spraying. Used some stuff from B&Q... Weirdly it's the same brand as I used to paint my sons walls (Valspar - for plastic, not walls). Goes on easy and looks nice. Also popped into the body shop who told me my new spoiler is a piece of crap and would take ages to make presentable. Que angry message to eBay man. Whilst out I also popped into Ford and asked about jacking point covers... £20 each! Damn. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
theredfox
who supplied the spoiler you, have got me looking at st on eBay some good bargains
dohboy78
Kitestetico.uk supplied it off eBay. Looked rough when it arrived... But I'm no body shop technician. The guy who is doing my paintwork said it was very poorly made... Needed too much work to prep to make it worthwhile.
