Driver Folding Door Mirror Issue

Hi all, only had my S-MAX a couple of days and got an issue with the electric folding door mirrors.

Both mirrors fold when I lock the car but when I start it up only the passenger side will unfold again.

The drivers side will remain folded unless I push it out manually.

Once unfolded it is normally works ok by the switch to fold in and out.

The drivers side mirror also seems quite unstable compared to passenger one as the mirror vibrates at high speed. It does not seem to lock in place like the passenger wing mirror.

Appreciate any help. Thanks

I've had a similar problem with my s max. Did you find a solution to this?

Afraid not. We picked ours up on Saturday and no issues like this yet. Is there anything that you can do with the controls on the driver armrests - both the mirrors can be folded in from there on our Titanium.

Same problem in my SMAX. The drivers side powerfold can't open.

Sounds a noise trying to open... but don't.

Passenger works fine. The problem is the rearview motor is closed so if open manually the rearview are not fixed and have a lot vibration at high speed.

In past month many times both rearviews didn't worked. No close or open. Always at drive position. If anyone know the way to disactiva this function my life will be easier hehe

Apply some lubricant to the joint

Manually push the mirror out, towards the wing.

Use the switch to fold it back in
