And I could not locate a door seal for a Hoover AS110 machine anywhere.

2nd Hoover group on here, it's not held in stock, but can be ordered in on their parts service

I don't like running out of wine and being unable to go to the kitchen for more without disturbing the cats!

P.S.  There actually are two cats there, as opposed to one with two heads which is what it looks like.

When I was looking a week ago, nothing came up on eBay, and the first 3 or 4 specialists I looked at were either out of stock, or said it was discontinued and not available.

In fact I followed Kevin's link (Turvey), and via a slight detour on that site, I found one in stock & ordered it. smile.png

But what I don't much like is reading, right at the bottom of a page on "How to fit a Door Seal", and just after I bought the seal:

" Candy and Hoover seals can be a real pain to do as well "

as well as:

" On many you are liable to become frustrated, wish you had three hands and you will get skint knuckles and cuts replacing a door seal. "

It sounds very much like most repair jobs on a Focus laugh.png.

Of course right at the top of the page with the part, it waxed lyrical about how easy it was. I had my doubts, but I guess I will see in due course just how "easy" it is.unsure.png

But many thanks to Kevin & Ghana for the help. It is amazing what is available, but finding it can be hard, and I had just about given up.

I don't like realising last night that the MOT for the Qashqai had run out!!! Sorted out this morning though, one advisory regarding one rear brake pad which will be sorted shortly 😉

Thank goodness there's no ANPR cameras up here!!!

I don't like that I forgot to book Pipper a vet's appointment for tomorrow, a follow up one, to see if her 2nd course Galastop has worked..  It's unlikely I'll be able to get her one in the morning now:unsure:

Back in the early 1980's, my Dad forgot all about his MOT and was driving for close to 9 months!

He only discovered it when he went to renew his tax disc and dug out the the now very expired MOT certificate!

Even if there were I think you'd have been OK, as they are only set to detect tax and insurance.  I surmise that as a co-worker drove for 6 months without an MOT (having forgotten about it) including down to Glasgow and never got caught.

Nope. They detect MoT also.

I was pulled when i drove my Puma track car as i'd forgotten to renew my MoT as thought it was a month late than it was.

ANPR has full access to all DVLA, insurance and DoT information.

But do they actually do anything if a car with no MOT drives past?

I know police cars can and will pull you over, but I think Kevin was talking about the static cameras that would send you a fine as opposed to being physically pulled over.

Both I suppose. There was a story going around a few years back that an ANPR enabled car was up here but not operational as the mobile signal required to send info back and forth wasn't available. But, as in any small community, stories grow arms and legs sometimes 😁

Driving without MoT is an offence under the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 and the penalty is a £1000 fine.
It also means that your insurance is invalidated which is an unlimited fine or discretionary disqualification plus 6 - 8 points on your driving licence.

If the garage is any good they would send reminders.

Cleaning your car for a couple of hours and getting that lovely shine all over then relaising there's more dents, scrapes and chips than you thought...AND THEN seeing it's clearly had the front nearside bumper re-sprayed...BADLY!

I don't like coming down with another flu!!

I don't like that this flu has still not shifted despite drowning myself in fresh orange juice, taking multivitamins and all the painkillers on the market, plus not smoking for the past three days!!!

If I don't feel any better by tomorrow I'll have to call in sick to work which will go down just great as I'm already under "investigation" for being off ill.  Seems that you can't win in that place, if you come in sick and don't do your job correctly then you get penalised, but if you decide you are too ill to work and don't come in you also get penalised.  Can't do right for doing ***** wrong!!

Thought I would share this with you in case it's of any interest to anyone. I found this app called VehicleSmart, available on Android and the Apple app store, put in your reg plate and you can set it up to get reminders for when your MOT and tax is due.

The basic app is free but if you pay £1.99 you can get extra reminders for insurance etc

Finding someone has recently glanced my car, leaving a scuff and taking some paint off the rear bumper. :(

I'm hoping it won't need a re-spray and I can add it the list of things I planned to ask a smart repair guy to touch up before Ford Fair (along with the argument my car lost with a bush).

Dam sony t.v's,Bluetooth is where you can connect stuff to the item not having to add more stuff to get it to work.

Sony forum says ''bluetooth wont work on headphones not even Sony's as it don't have the software in the t.v''

I have a Samsung that works fine on any headphones, press connect on the sound menu and sound on headphones and not t.v,turn off

headphones and sound comes back onto t.v.

Things I don't like:

* Returning from holiday with a travel bug / some kind of gastro

* Finding two gigantic mountain sized blobs of bird poo on my car after work - took AGES to clean!

Thank god it's the weekend.

I just cleaned my car, and now unless I park on the road, I have to park in a car park with shedloads of trees :(
