sprint20
Evening all! :)I have a question. I have tried to search a bit. But havent come up with a solution yet.In the instrument cluster the lights for passenger airbag, seatbelt warning, brakepad warning and open door are all glowing. Not fully lit up. But just visible enough.I'm a mechanic myself and have checked the wires and groundpoint in the A-pillar. Have also tried to remove the speedo itself. No faults. Have any of you seen this before? Stoney871
Have you added anything like LED sidelights or similar? This can cause a residual current to feed back into the cluster and/or headlight switch causing strange light errors to crop up.
stef123
Had a similar issue to this years ago on a renault, traced it back to a dodgy earth in the boot.
delboy
check the wiring under the seats as they get damaged sometimes
sprint20
No LED's or any extras mounted. Bog standard KA tdci Titanium. Thanks for the reply's. Now i have some things to check up on. Had the service computer on it. No faults. Noticed that if I turn on the front foglight, and the indicator for it turns on in the dash. The seatbelt light gets brighter. Worst case: faulty instrument cluster. :( But I'll check up on the seats.
delboy
there is wires under the seats that controlls the airbags etc. they sometimes get damaged and can cause all sorts of errors but it does sound like an instrument panel but it maybe water or moisture causing it. give the wires a going over with wd40 as we used to have a punto that done odd lekking thingson the dash and wd40 sorted it out. spray all lekki under bonnet and under dash . its worth a try m8 it maybe the foglight switch at fault. i think the ka mk2 is fiat based so dodgy electrics maybe ? sprint20
Getting worried that it might be a faulty instrument. Tried to unplug the button for the front foglight. And pretty much everything else on the centreconsole, since its one connector for everything. And checked up on the Airbag wiring. No joy, still glowing a bit. And its all canbus driven. So i'm finally down to the cluster itself. Thanks for the input and advice. :-) P.S. Yes its pretty much Fiat 500 parts all the way through. :-)

Don73
Have the same issues, I'm suspecting an instrument cluster fault.
