Zippy
I got a Ford magazine through the post today, it's got this advert for Duxback, some revolutionary glass treatment, that claims to bead up, rain, sleet and snow, making it roll off. I was wondering if anyone's had this done to their car?? and if you think it's a good idea? or is it simply no better than RainX? I don't know how much Duxback costs, I'm thinking more than RainX, lol.
Purdy fpv
Ive got Duxback on my windscreen and its grate. The best thing was that I got it done for free. :P It does make a difference. It improves your visibility. When you drive a puma you have to make the most of what windows that you've got!!! When I'm driving over 50mph I don't need my wipers on. the rain just beads straight off.

greenymk7
or a much better idea. put some of your standard car wax on your windows aswell and it will do the same thing and lost longer :)
paulworthing
Just thinking about this one - if you have decent wipers why would you wantt his - surely it is not safe to drive along without your windscreen wipers when it is raining. And also, with the Titanium models, you get auto wipers anyway . . . .
greenymk7
it was developed for cars without rear windscreen wipers. their rear windows use to get dirty from all the rain so they claimed putting this on would mean u can see out of it all the time. which is true, for a while. its not great on the front windscreen as i can become abit sticky if your Wiper Blades go over it sometimes
Purdy fpv
So how did you get it for free then and any idea what the RRP is for it? A friend of mine works in the trade and he did it for me. I think that it cost £20 and lasts for 6 months.
Zippy
or a much better idea.put some of your standard car wax on your windows aswell and it will do the same thing and lost longer :) I actually have done this, using Greased Lightning Showroom Shine, was by accident, but I thought what the hell.. and surprisingly it did work well, it beaded up the rain! I also use a car shampoo with a built in wax, for when I'm feeling too lazy to polish it, lol. I think I'll be giving Duxback a miss! I don't really need it anyway, it'd seem, lol. Thanks all for your help with this matter. :)
