I will soon be in need of 2 new front tyres and have been looking around and found some Bridgestone potenza s001's.

ATM I have Falken ziex all round,

Would it make a difference if I was to just change the from two to Bridgestone? Or just a cosmetic difference???

Cheers,

Sam

It would make a noticable difference in road noise levels and lateral grip by just changing two,

However for safety reasons; new tyres or tyres with the most thread always go on the rear of the car as its front wheel drive,

Otherwise there is risk of the rear skidding out on corners due to too much front grip and less in rear ive experienced this in a previous motor myself.

Your existing rear tyres should go on front and your new tyres on rear for optimum safety.

Thanks for that Lenny, it looks like it might be a few months off yet till I get some,

I had some wearing on the passenger side tyre on the inside,

When I took it in to the garage he told me the tracking was out by about 30mm. I then asked how long the tyres would last until they needed changing and he said just to keep my eye on it, so I might get 2 new ones on before ford fair and do like you said and swap the fronts with the backs :)

Id strogly recommend laser tracking alignment if you havent had it done already to correct the tracking mate otherwise tyres wont last as long as they should.

Well on Saturday I took the plunge and got two new tyres from Costco,

I ended up getting Michelin pilot sport 3s.

£96 each inc vat balanced etc.

So a little update, the car is all booked in for a few minor repairs and after a long hard look I have finally found the colour I wanted for the alloys! It took a while but I've got there in the end!

The car goes in to the garage the week before ford fair and fingers crossed all is okay with it when I get it back!

I won't tell you guys what the colour is I have chosen for the alloys just yet, as I know you guys like the waiting to find out game haha :).

So I have a bit of a setback with the alloys!

Apparently that can't do the colour I wanted and other colours I have asked to have don't hit the right notes for me so it looks like they will be staying the same colour but I'm still happy with them so it's not a complete loss!

Sam

Looks sweet mate,

An oil catch can would be a good modification to keep the new induction system clean,

The alloys look awesome too.

So today little mod was changing the rear fog to a LHD reversing cover, at the minute it has a red bulb in it so it's still legal but I'm going t be looking at modding it so I can use it as a reverse lamp as well :)

Yes mate I got mine off eBay and I think they were around the £20 mark, is that a plate holder you have there as well or is it just a trim?
