Hi, driving home last night clear road, I saw nothing on the road, but it was dark.

It sounded like I drove over a wire or possibly a branch? I heard and felt it go under the front wheel and work it's way out the back.

I just had a look to see if anything had fallen off! or marked my car.

Am I meant to have a undercover trim? I can see the floor looking into the engine bay? There are no obvious clips missing?

Do they have them?

When I bought it I thought the top engine cover was missing, then found out the 100 BHP 1.6 doesn't have one.

Can someone look to see if they have one please?

Thanks

The 1.4/1.6 Duratec Petrol versions do not have an engine undertray. There is only a small tray below the front bumper to guide the cooling air into the radiator.

Most other MK2/MK2.5 Petrol versions do not have an undertray either. Only diesel versions have them.

1.8 petrol Zetec Duratec mk2.5 owner definitely has the engine undertray fitted. I must be one of the lucky ones
