MONDEO TXS 2.2
£25k ? My fully specced 2015 Focus ST3 was £22,150 - less the Fiesta ST 2 as part ex - it may be worth shopping around / haggling.

Shhh, Stoney might just be saying 25k as he has been cleared to spend that amount but will keep the change for mods :D
alexp999
I'd love a Mustang V8, that's pretty much my dream car (emphasis on dream). Even if I could sort out the finances I know I would be scare to take it anywhere. I am bad enough with my Focus, but I wouldn't ever want to let a Mustang out of my sight, lol.

The extra will be for a bit of a tuning tweak ;)

Stoney871
Meh! Money isn't everything and you can't take it with you.
RAIDER32
Unless I come into some money or get a better job, a Focus ST/RS is out of my range. My next 'Realistic' car will likely be the current Focus Zetec S in about 5-6 years, when it's in my price range. I think the Focus Zetec S that alexp999 has bought is spot on, and the 182bhp 1.5 is a big improvement over my 115bhp 1.6 2009 Zetec S.

MONDEO TXS 2.2
Ford Man, go to Ford's website, choose Focus ST3 & build the car with every option available & that's what I have. :)

Focus 115
Would love to own a Fiesta ST, but seeing as I'm currently only on my first car, I probably won't be able to insure something like that for a good while. I'll probably continue to stick with the Focus range for now.

Stoney871
I'm just sorting out my finances to do the same. I'm most likely heading towards Impact Blue. I like the stealth but wifey doesn't.

Top Man, would be great for a few to be at a show! I like the deep impact Blue too!
Stoney871
I went through the colour options and decided right away that red was out. Tangerine scream is smart but TBH screams "SCRATCH ME". Moondust silver, current Focus is that so something different this time. Panther black is a muck magnet. Stealth I like (also going to be the primary colour choice on the next RS) but Madam says it's just "boring grey" (BOO) Frozen white I do like but yet again a muck magnet and I have driven too many white cars through work to go that way (Current work car is a white ST3 Estate so a bit of seperation is a good idea). So all options considered I reckon Deep Impact Blue it is. https://www.carwow.co.uk/blog/2015-Ford-Focus-ST-Colours
alexp999
What I don't like about stealth is that it is not metallic. I love the magnetic "colour" on my car, but that's because it is metallic. If it wasn't for this paint being available on the zetec s, id have gone for deep impact blue.
jeebowhite
When I sort my finances I will be looking at the new mondy, if they actually had a manual hybrid I would get it, or it would be the 2.0 tdci
London's Finest
I want to become a better driver so I need an old banger that I can practice to driving a bigger car in, you know just out and about town. Don't laugh..but here goes. I'm probably going to be getting a ford escort estate to lug about for a couple of months. I haven't put a scratch on this car but I think I might if I upgrade to that size of car. Better to ruin an old beater and master it than a posher car that i'll cry about. jeebowhite
I jumped from a fiesta to a focus and have one eye and it was easy lol. It's not that different, all you need to know is where the rear wheels are :-D

That sounds like a good idea, but I'd go for a newer car if you can afford it just because they are much safer in a crash.
chrisroberson99
People are always saying to me, "why don't you get an old banger for your first car? It won't matter if you wreck it!" The thing is, with me personally, I'd be devastated whether it was a 20 year old Escort (they're rare now!) or a 2 year old Focus. Cars are very important to me and I do form a bond with them. Sounds weird I know!

Sounds weird I know! No I completely understand, im the same way, i've bonded with mine and was devastated when someone bumped into it. I spent hours trying to fix it and remove the scratches the best I could. This car was mint when I bought it. I think a beater will probably have scratches and dents. I think the first couple of days of owning a big beater would be crucial as i'd probably learn the most then because i'd have to adjust to a bigger car and put it through my usual driving which consists of narrow country lanes, single lane T roads or heavy town center traffic. So it will help me re-learn (or not at all, if its as easy as Jeebs suggests) parallel parking, spacial awareness, 3 point turns, reverse and front bay parking, the lot. There are a few escorts still about. My mate learnt in and drove a 1.6 escort estate which he managed to write off in 6 months, but that's another story.
