BazzaS
I have a Fiesta 1.6 TDCI reg in 2010. I know where the oil filter is. BUT having removed the engine top cover and the air filter housing I am confronted with 2 radiator hoses. Both block access to the filter cap - the lower one in particular leaves no space for the socket and wrench ! Help - I find it difficult to believe I have to remove these hoses just to change the oil filter and I'm loth to blindly use brute force. Can anyone out there advise me please what the correct procedure is to get at the filter cap/remove the filter. Thanks Bazza
GingerFlame
You can buy tools which are like a belt or chain to wrap around the filter and grip it

iantt
Take intake pipe off, 27mm socket, universal joint, long extention, ratchet, fits ok. Undo filter, pull coolant pipes slightly to one side with one hand while removing filter housing with other hand.
