Faulty Parking Sensors On Mk4 2010 Model.

Got a parking sensor fault (long beep, flashing dash light on button then system switches off). I have 3 questions:

1 are the sensors same on front and back? There are sellers on eBay selling "ford parking sensors" but I have been told they are different part numbers depending whether they are front or back, and how high they are off the ground!!!???

2 how can you tell which sensor is faulty without access to a laptop?

3 Anyone know the correct ford part numbers?

Thanks everyone out there

1) a sensor is a sensor, however tolerances for Ford units and those tolerances in the senor head all ad up and can make a diference. In which case, your best bet is going ford.

2) unplug each sensor at a time until the display and tones change significantly for one.

3) I cant help with the Ford part number, but google eacatparts, and you can use the mondeo, then accessories, then you should have the part numbers there. Alternatively, call Ford and get the part details and prices off them.

Hi

Turns out sensors are fine.... Broken wire going to the sensor connector. New wiring loom for sensors( £40) and all is ok!!

That's not a bad price for the wiring....
