delboy Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 i cannot see any need to remap unless there is a problem with the ecu or the actual program. iyou may gain a small amount the umph but any change to the bhp will need to be noted by your insurance. do you have a problem with the car ifso what ? jeebowhite Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 any turbo engine can benefit from a remap, but the question is the amount of pounds you pay and the amount of oomph you get out of it. look around and you could get some tuning boxes for as little as £70 for an older first gen unit, but then the average is about £300, then you look at what you get - about 25 more horses and about 40 more torques and about 1 - 6 more miles per gallon. Then look at a remap - you get it and stick it on your car, it costs a lot more, and probably wont give you much more out of a 1.3 engine 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
