huey45
Hi Guys Have searched all over to try and find what "Type/Specs" and quantity of oil I need to top up my 6 speed manual gearbox with, as I suspect it has a leak on it, with clunky changes There is nothing stated in owners manual that came with car or as to the location of filler and drain plugs, any help appreciated ?? Regards huey45/Keith

JW1982
The 6-speed Ford B6 gearbox requires a 75W FE transmission oil that meets the Ford WSS-M2C200-D2 specification.

Regards hi all the answers say 1.7 litre,s yesterday i filled my 2016 ford focus 1.6tdci 6 speed gearbox with oil and it took 2 x 1 litre bottles and i never spilled any. before it was full ...but i replaced the clutch and gearbox . the replacement gearbox was completely empty. so the only thing i think is there is .3 of a litre still in the gearbox after you drain it .the car was sitting on all four wheels and level.???? JW1982
The correct procedure prescribed by Ford to fill the oil on the B6 gearbox is as follows: 1: Make sure that the car is placed on a flat, level surface. 2: Fill the gearbox with oil until the level is flush with the filler plug (and oil starts dripping out). 3: Drain 0,5 Liter of oil from the gearbox (for example with a large syringe and a piece of hose). After performing this procedure the gearbox should be filled with 1,67 Liter of oil.
