Hi again guys

Recently purchased some Osram H7 headlight bulbs, and there looking so nice compared to the standard bulbs i had in. The only question i have is does anyone else feel as if there headlights whilst in the car don't seem bright enough? It just looks like the angle of the lights are to far down considering its on 0 setting in the car?

Thanks in advance guys

Maybe it's because you tinted your headlights?

But honestly sometimes I also have this feeling that I just can not really see the beam. And I have HID's. But I haven't really had trouble to see something.

HIDs are renowned for being harder to see the beam, in rain especially, the higher up the k scale you go the less usable light there becomes!

These are just headlight bulbs, does that still apply to these?

What Kelvin are your bulbs? Anywhere from around 6k you get the nice blue effect light but the output starts going down. 4k are probably the best you can get. If you've ever noticed touring cars use yellow lights as they significantly improve vision compared to blue & white lights.

It also applies to halogen bulbs yes, as the blue output bulbs are coated and that instantly reduces output

Yes they are probably too low, it was the same for me so I took the car to a garage and asked them to adjust the dipped beam upwards so that it's still within the legal limit. That improved things massively and I could see much better at night.

There is a difference between the standard headlights and HID's, I will never go back to standard globes after using HID's in projector lights mind you. I have the 6k HID's, they are White/Blue enough for me, wont go any higher, it's like driving during the day. I use my main beam less these days.

The osram bulbs i purchased stated they are 5000k...did they charge alot to adjust ?....having said that, ive just been to stubborn to get HID's but i really do want a set... What hid kits are people using?

They didn't charge much, it's only a 5 minute job. You could do it yourself but I thought I'd have it done properly so I know they aren't higher than they should be.

So I'm guessing there is more to it then just adjusting it from the switch in the car ?

Yeah there's a part on the headlight itself which can be adjusted, and if you take it to a garage they can make sure it's adjusted to the correct level (same as when they check it for an MOT).
