I have a 2009 S-Max that has started making a high pitched whine when I pull away from stationary. (the sound seems to disapear at speed or it may be that road noise masks it) Anyone else had this?

manual or automatic?

when you say whine, it could be the brakes where they gather surface rust overnight?
