I've got a new red edition and today when I started up the car the 12v socket doesn't work.

Anyone got any ideas on why this could be and how I could fix it?

Thanks!

Have you tried more than one charger (assuming that's what you are plugging in) in case its that?

Have you tried both 12v sockets?

Likely to be a fuse

Fuse?

Does the one at the back of the centre console work?

Back to the dealer for them to check, plug may have come loose.

Yeah, I sure have, I've got 2 adapters and neither seem to be getting any power out of the socket! I've not tired both but the one in the front isn't working and I'd assume they'd both be on the same fuse? I'm not sure though.. I shall try the other tomorrow!

Both don't work, and this is with different adaptors.

I assume it'll be a fuse then but I've no idea how to check that stuff, any tips? I know it's in the glovebox and that's about it!

Should be in the manual what fuse you need to change. If that doesn't work, back to the dealer

Not yet, I've not had the time.

I shall have a look at the fuses and that today, but I doubt it's that to be honest as it was working for ages and it is both sockets that aren't working!

Both sockets don't work yet you doubt it's the fuse, ok.

Both sockets run off the same fuse so would be my first stop.

Check either socket for a short, something like metal filings or rogue metal shards shorting them ou.

Maybe unplug one at a time and see if the fuse holds.
