James.jerrum
I meant GT spraying
jeebowhite
to be honest spraying those plastics is something you could do yourself
Celticfan
Hi James, As Jeebo says a lot of members spray these parts themselves but I know how badly mine would turn out :-) I don't know of GT Spraying in Denmead but there is a GT Paintworks down in Ampress Works in Brockenhurst. I haven't used them myself but know a bloke who did a few years back. I've lost touch with him ( emigrated to Oz) so can't ask him about whether he'd recommend them. Might be worth a check out

jeebowhite
Are you referring to around the Ford badge? If so it just clips in I believe

James.jerrum
Yeah I have sprayed it with some stuff that's like plastidip so if I don't like it can just pull it off
jeebowhite
That's a good start though to get the best finish I would suggest if you do pull the plastidip off, sand it down and then spray it a gloss finish
James.jerrum
Cars black thought I thought gloss black grille and metallic black car would look stupid
James.jerrum
Here it is
jeebowhite
Ah I didn't see the car details as I'm using the app and it doesn't show those lol but yeah any colour you would be best sanding before spraying. Though the finished article looks good! I suppose the proof Is in the pudding of the install and how it all holds and looks in time.
James.jerrum
Put it on the car and can hardly tell the difference I'm just going to do it properly and go with gloss black
jeebowhite
In which case sand and prime first the do the goods black. For a real nice finish don't forget to spray lacquer
James.jerrum
What sand paper should I use as its only plastic
jeebowhite
Start off with a couple hundred grit, and work your way up to the likes of 1500. The rougher the finish after the first few goes the better, without of course rubbing holes into it!
James.jerrum
Is the higher the number the finer the paper

James.jerrum
Done the grill looks good. Now need to do the bits on the bumper like the fog light surround and radiator grille.
