whatwasthat
Hi all First post! Please can anyone help with this? I have a Fiesta ST3 and I cannot access the vehicle settings menu, the letters are 'greyed out'. All other menus such as my key and display settings are available. I have read the downloaded manual but not found the answer. I am sure it is straightforward when you know how. I have had the car for 10 days and I am still learning. I did not get a paper manual with the car but I assume the download says the same. I have tried both key fobs in case it related to 'my key' settings, it still did not work. I can sum up the car so far, smiletime; frighteningly quick with square wheels! Thanks
alexp999
Are you stationary when trying to access the menu?
MattDRX
Shouldn't matter if stationary, I used to be able to turn ESP and hill start etc on and off whilst moving.
roocat
Sounds mykey related to me Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
dmizz93
^ does sound my key related.. Using both keys, try and find the Main Fob.. You should be able to clear all my key settings for both keys in case there are any settings stored on either. Then try again and it should work.. I accidentally activated my key and changed the central locking system on my car without realising then looked like an idiot going in to the dealer telling them my 2week old car didn't work :') Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
whatwasthat
Hi everyone Thanks for the quick replies. You gave me a clue and so I tried to access the menu again. The answer is that access is possible when the engine is running but not when it is switched off. I can only assume it is related to recognising which key is being used to start the car. I had a 1.6 titanium before and the menu was available whether or not the engine was running. Thanks again for your help!
