As the title says I have fitted SMD LED strips to the front footwells (rear to come soon).

I would like to share this as to make it easier for people to do the same to their car.

Looks great. Would it not have been more simple to use these however?

It would be but those connectors are terrible.

Too much movement on wires causing bad connections.

I've got some on order as I'm looking at doing some strips. I'm going to strip the cables back and solder to the strip. Should be adequate then I hope. £1.60 Hong Kong gamble isn't too much of a loss.

The strips look so much better than a single bulb though!

I've wondered about doing this too, would go down the route of using an adaptor rather than splicing into the cables in case I wanted to change my mind at some point.

It's one of many jobs on a long list, at some point my interior will go into red led overload and look like either a submarine or p!mp mobile

As stoney said, plus I think my option is much 'neater' too, even if it's not the best job haha.

Troy you won't want to go back to 501, the light spread is much greater with strips. If you wanted to you could just solder the original wires back together.

Done my attempt today and is on my build thread. That uses the adapters and solder as stated above. Comments welcome
