2011 Fiesta Zetec S 'bonnet Open' Warning Problem?

My 2011 Fiesta Zetec S has developed a problem. When I'm driving along it pops up on the screen displaying the 'Bonnet Open' when the bonnet is not open. So I have to open it and close it again and the error is solved. Hour or so later it does it again.. It mostly appears when I'm driving, but last night it decided to set the alarm off with the error.

Any idea's? I'm guessing it's a faulty switch? Any idea where I can pick up a replacement or does anyone know how much it costs for Fords to replace it?

Common issue. Or they will set the alarm off at silly Oclock. Just join the wires and bypass the switch that's what I did.

Which ones the switch? There's 2 switches?

1 that's got a red tag on it & goes to a plate with a bolt & the other goes to the bonnet catch?

Hi Adam, did you fix your problem finally? My alarm was just on 10 mins ago and out of desperation at this time at night I just pulled out the connector with orange/blue and black cables with it. Does it sound ok to be a fix?
