Fordkaamy
Hi, I have a 2010 Ford Ka Titanium and I have noticed that the casing around the back box of the exhaust has corroded really badly, so much so that the casing is actually hanging off the box. Is this a common problem in Ford Ka's? I did not buy the car new, and as far as I am aware I do not have Ford warranty. Would I need to get a whole new exhaust or is there another option to fix this? I'm guessing that it will cause problems if the corroding gets any worse. Thanks, Amy.
stef123
The rear sections of exhausts tend to take a beating with corrosion, because they don't get as hot. If the rest of the system is ok you could just have a back box fitted. Pretty straightforward job.
iantt
Just a back box required, most ka have short journey cycles so rear fills with condensed water vapour, if its not blowing exhaust gases any where then you could just cut off the bit dropping down
