Escort Mk2 Rear Seat Belts

Hi, hoping for some advice please.

I have a '79 Escort Ghia 4dr and I want to fit rear seat belts. I believe all the fitting points are already fitted.

Which are the best rear seat belts to get? Either new or used and is it straight forward to fit them?

hi i have fitted some to my escort i went for new securon seat belt inertier type is fairly easy but you have to cut holes in the rear parcel shelf and a hole in each rear back posts i used some renault clio seatbelt trims to put in the hole to make it look nice and original all mounts are already in for them to be fitted

Apologies for not acknowledging before, not been on here for a while.

I fitted some new belts, easy job as mountings all there. I still need trims though, the holes are fairly big - which model/year Clio did you get the trims from please?

was off a mk 2 renault clio did you make the holes the same size as the the hole in the back pannel as if you did then the hole may be to big i made mine after i bought the cover and made them to fit the trims if you want i can take some photos and show you the finished result

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I think the holes might be too big - I followed some fitting instructions I found online. Might need to make up a plate and then disguise it by putting a seat belt trim on top of it.

Will have another look at the weekend - if you have time to put up some pictures that would be great, thanks.
