Misfire Problem On 2009 1.8 Tdci

Hello.

We have a Mondeo in at the moment. It is a 2009 1.8 tdci.

It had an engine change that was not completed by other garage. We undertook the job but are now having headaches.

The engine was sourced from a reputable ford breaker. The original injectors from the old engine were installed in this engine.

On start up there was a misfire. We checked the wiring. Pulled off the MAF sensor plug. Reconnected it and then the misfire went.

Drive car for 3 miles. Parked it up overnight. Next day misfire back and also esp light on.

Diagnostics says short on injector 3 or open circuit.

Engine will not rev. Engine idles roughly.

Clear code. Engine revs. Esp light goes out. It can then run for a second before it returns or maybe minutes.

It's deffo only affecting cylinder 3. Changed injectors round from another cylinder and still have same issue with same cylinder. So it's deffo to do with wiring or maybe a faulty injector driver on cylinder 3.

Anyone had loom issues?

Also where is the ecu located on this car?

Any help will be appreciated.

George
