Peterjones
Hi, It's that time of the year when my car is coming up to its first year service. Clearly wanting to get it done at a Ford dealer, however not sure on service costs. Can anyone share some figures that I should be aiming for when getting quotes? MarksST
Seen anything from £100-£200. Go on fords website, have seen people book on there for a lot less than quoted in person by the same dealer. Phone to confirm once booked though as one person turned up at the dealer who had no notice of the booking.
Meep
As your car is less than a year old is there a Ford Protect plan available for the ST? For standard Fiesta it is £550 inc VAT for three years, can be bought anytime up to when the first service is due. That price is parts+labour and includes the Ford breakdown/recovery extended from 1 year to 3 years. Here is the link: http://www.ford.co.uk/BuyingandprotectingyourFord/ServiceandMaintenancePlans/NewCarsServicingandExtendedRoadsideAssistancePlans Doesn't say anything about excluding ST so may be the same price. MarksST
Those plans might not be the best way to do it, they are basically sold to keep you at a dealer. That works out at £184 per service, by shopping around you should be able to get cheaper. The roadside assistance comes with all services. Some of the plans give discounts off parts, which sort of makes the quoted service cost more expensive.

Zico
Those plans might not be the best way to do it, they are basically sold to keep you at a dealer. The Ford Protect Premium Plans are not tied to a specific dealer so you can take your car into any dealership for servicing. The plans are however tied to the vehicle so if you change your car you will loose the servicing where as the new owner will have whatever remains. MarksST
That makes it even more appealing.
MartynS
The ford plans also include the brake fluid change at year 2 which is another ~£50 on top of what dealers quote for a service (at least it is where I take my car). I ended up getting a 3 year dealer plan with the brake fluid included for less than the Ford one as they gave a large discount to ensure they got the business! Phil 87
I paid £130 for the first service at a Ford dealer, which of course included an extra year of breakdown cover.
jace1969
I have just had mine done £200 and the major one ( plugs/fuel filter/air/pollen filter) and all other stuff. Brake fluid was done 3 months ago under cover or would of been in with it.
