Check the engine bay fuse box for signs of moisture or leaks,

If water got in there it bridges connections causing things to work even when the car is parked and locked horn can start going off and wipers.

Could also be a faulty GEM control unit or instrument cluster mate,

More likely instrument cluster fault as its linking handbrake signal and indicator function.

Diagnosing this though would really be a job for an auto electrician mate,

The GEM is the electronic brain box much like an ECU which controls the operations of door locks, windows, indicator function etc,

Its near the glovebox, not much to be physically done with it but reprogramming it via the OBD port may solve the issue if it arrises again.

Hope it stays away mate,

Could be the engine bay fuse box lid is leaking allowing water in on the relays,

With all the dry weather theres no moisture to cause the problem,

If the problem comes back after you wash the car or it rains then you need to replace the fuse box lid in the engine bay,

Its a known common fault for the fuse box lid to manifest leak
