Some Good News About My Car.

Well as I had a trailer fridge engineer handy I asked him for a price to check and charge my air con system, he dutifully did so and I now have lovely working air con in my car, no leaks found and the system was holding pressure very well, he did a thorough search for leaks and pressure hold test etc. And for a better price than the usual suspects for on the spot air con service.

All in all it has made me quite a bit happier today.

what settings do you put it on to get it to blow out cool air - mines seems to be like a little breeze and nothing more.

had mine regassed recently too.

Temp set to cold, fan on whatever speed you want and air con switch on, recirculate button on also as it helps it get nice and cold. If it has been regassed and still not properly cold then something isn't right. Is the cooling fan running when the air con is turned on?

Before I changed the pollen filter in mine I used to get barely any flow through the vents regardless of whether the A/C was on. A new cabin filter changed all that, just a pity it's such as PITA to fit!

Maybe I spoke too soon, it does get cold but I think it is already not getting as cold as it was, not too mention the fan output seems pants really, gonna see about changing the pollen filter soon but it's not looking as good as it was, jinxed it yet again lol

Have you got a UV light to see if there are any leaks? I used one and found a tiny leak in my condenser which is why the system would pressurise for the recharge but then slowly stop working.

No I havent got a UV light handy, he did check the condenser with some sort of spray for leaks.

Try and get hold of one so you can check all the system components and joints for traces of the UV reactive dye.

Uv light will only work if UV dye has been put in the system, not sure if its a standard thing to do on refilling or not?
