Fiesta St3 (180ps) Insurance Help

Hello,

Just got through my first renewal through for my Fiesta ST3 (15 plate) to see a whooping £921.14 for a 25 year old with 6 years NCB, no points / accidents and two other named drivers (parents) via Admiral. Cheapest they said they could get down to was £720 and the cheapest on go compare was £644.

Big rise compared to last march when i was quoted £550 (before purchasing) and was still 24.

Ford insure wouldn't even give me an online quote!

I was wondering if there are certain insurance companies that are a bit nicer to fiesta ST owners and you guys being more in the know could help?

Thanks in advance,

Matt!

Sadly the car insurance market is increasing and everyone is paying the penalty. I'm not looking forward to renewal...

Try Esure they were pretty reasonable for me when I renewed the ST2

Well i'm down to £538 now. Ford, Tesco and Direct line wanted over £1000! Bit frustrating but its seems the address is the issue not the car. Although is a new build estate the area next door is not so nice even though they are not directly connected.

Did you manage to give us a go?

If you could PM me your car reg, I'll take a look at the quote

Pretty much same as mine. Esure seem to be reasonable for the ST

The esure quote came out as £1,176.70

Seems everyone hates the address even though its only 1.2km from my old address (in which i'm getting quotes in the region of £370-450).

Yes and you will have some excesses I bet with some insurers linked to your age (driving experience) - I know mine went up a bit as it seems the ST is becoming more expensive to own ...probably linked to how many are pranged etc.

I'm same as you as regards age ncb no accidents convictions points etc and same car and I payed £326 couple weeks ago. It must be all about the post code as people say.

This may be an older topic now but i thought i would add, i paid £650 for my ST2 i am 21 with 2yrs NCB. I thought it was reasonable as i paid roughly the same for a 1.6 tdci zetec s!

That was with Diamond (the insurance for girls - when though i'm male!)

That's not bad going. The thing is due to gender discrimination, it was revoked to allow single gender insurance companies as it was isolating and favouritism for genders.
