The valve removal is fine ad long as it's been mapped out or is a 1.8,he probably blanked both ends of it. That is certainly my plan long term... Sheds excess weight.

As for the terraclean, yes I got mine terracleaned with the valve on and blank off, then ran it for a few days without the blank - smooth as a factory motor, but put the plate on and the mpg went up further along with the responsiveness.

As for the decat, well it could work, perhaps the dpf and sensor can be positioned elsewhere though the better answer would be removal. Sadly though this is illegal and a decay pipe with no dpf would fail an mot.

Egr blanking does no harm to performance but the nox levels of course do increase a little, the egr only operates at idle and low speed so makes no real odds over most the travel.

It's a 2.2 James - not a 1.8 !

EGRV is not operational at idle James

True in which case the egr would have been written out, or a mock valve put in.

Sorry, my bad, above idle. Under heavy load and at standard Idle the egr is closed though anything ordinarily in the range of 1k to 3k the egr would open under part load, but closes at heavy load

Its up in North Wexford mate:

Just answered my own question here in link: http://www.terracleanireland.ie/pricing

I've not contacted them yet but i have used AtomEx Diesel Multi- Cleaner

See my Review on there website linked above the image,

I put this bottle in with a Tank of fuel prior to having my fuel filter changed as part of a routine service,

I wanted a product that would flush through to the filter; any dirt that was likely to be in the tank,

This stuff made a great difference to the starting and smoothed out the idle running aswell as a little more free response feeling to the engine.

I recommend using around 2-3 weeks prior to changing fuel filter for optimum results from your new filter.

I also recommend using a bottle of AtomExTotal flush a few miles before your next oil change to remove the carbon deposits and prolong turbo life by keeping the oil feed pipe clear.

Terra-Clean charging 380euro to clean DPF

MFK Autocare charge 350euro to cut it open and gutt it then remap ecu far better job lads cleaner ;)

Terra-Clean charging 5h1t the bed 400euro to clean the EGR 400!!

eBay sell Stainless Steel EGR blanking plates for less than 5 euro shipped!!

Once blanked doesnt need cleaned.

Terra-Clean standard fuel injector clean is reasonable enough though

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw the DPF and EGR clean prices on that website - does include a normal Terraclean in that price though. You could get shot of both problems for life for cheaper and then pay seperately for the Terraclean.

The specialist tuning place I have used a couple of times now does Terraclean as well so I will definately be going there sometime soon after all the good stuff I have heard about it.
