Jake focus fisher
Hi everyone I'm brand new on here I'm hoping someone can help with my problem. Long story short the a mate in a garage said he can't get get power on the diagnostic port to clear some lights I have on the dash. He said he's never seen a car that don't do it and checked a fuse and said all was fine so I don't know what to do. I saw the cigarette lighter fuse might be linked so I checked that and all is fine and the one that says diagnostic testing stuff in the book is also fine. Anybody got any ideas on why I still have no power? Many thanks Jake.

Russ
Is the port he's using the 'real' diagnostics port as some people have moved the 'real' port to a new hidden position and replaced it with a fake port! And has he checked the problem doesn't lie with his reader?

Jake focus fisher
Thanks for the replys guys, i checked the fuses and they seem fine so I'll make sure the wires haven't been dislodged on the port is that right? And I don't think anyone would have moved it there's been no work done to the car previous to me buying it but just in case where would a likely place be for it to be moved?
