Grinding Clutch

Hi guys

Got a 2013 focus titanium x a week ago. Lovely car. I'm noticing a slight grinding noise from the clutch pedal as I depress only when my foot is on the accelerator. i just came back from trust ford as I rang trust ford services to have it check out but they said it's all fine.. I just find it abit fishy as I have just read someone had to have a new clutch at about 25,000 miles which is what my car is on

Anyone have a clutch grinding problem?

Thanks in advance

What engine and have you tried any other cars with the same engine?

Sorry 1L ecoboost. Nah it's my first 1litre. Maybe I just need to get used to it but I just found it abit weird

They are a little rough if you are not used to them.

I'd see if you can try another 1.0 at the dealer, then you'll know if it is just how these engines are, or if there is something off with yours.

The 1L ecoboost focus are notorious for clutch problems - honest John and the TV programme 'don't get mad get dom' covered it. The clutch started juddering in my 1.6 ecoboost focus at 10k miles and was replaced at 13k under warranty after several trips the dealer to get them to diagnose the fault.

Keep on them if I were you. Let us know how you get on!

Ah right! Yeah will definitely watch out for it. It's the slightest of grinding but noticeable. If it does need a new clutch I 100% will not be paying for it! Cheapskates didn't even give me car mats!

Thanks
