Ianb
Nearly had a heart attack the other day. I'm so used to just reading the most expensive price on the signs as I drive around and so when I saw 113 and 107 as I drove in to fuel up I expected the former to be diesel prices... About 10 seconds into refuelling my heart nearly stopped when I read 1.07 on the pump, I thought I was putting petrol into my diesel!!! I see it's down to about 106 in certain places.

Ianb
I suppose the good news for us derv drivers (and petrol I guess) is that diesel has gone down, as opposed to petrol going up and overtaking..
b1g_dav3
It's to do with new refineries in Saudi Arabia producing diesel I think.
WAZ91
So happy about this! full tank only cost £48! in my area it's £1.06 BUT my Mrs has 10p of per litre at Tesco! that means........................... 96p per litre!!!!!!!!!!! :o :D
Gezzs
I had noticed. Sods Law it started dropping when I ordered a PETROL engined car to replace my diesel! Pfft!
Marks12
I topped up my tank at 1.29 euro which is better than the usual 1.35 for diesel. In Ireland diesel has always been cheaper than petrol
Phil 87
It's to do with new refineries in Saudi Arabia producing diesel I think. And also because of China's economy slowing down from what I saw on the news this morning (supply and demand etc). So much for the argument for petrol where you can say it's cheaper to make up for the mpg difference. I only use V-Power petrol anyway so I'm still paying over £1.20 per litre for less then 40 mpg :(
Dales
I honestly couldn't tell you the price of petrol or diesel. I just fuel up. I use premium petrol in my car and that never seems to budge on price anyway. where as my diesel car just gets fuelled up out a can :D

Affix
yeah Its awesome I can fill My Fiesta 1.4 for £30 now haha £1.06 per litre at my local Asda and Sainsburys, £1.07 at Tesco and Morrisons. BP However still think they can get away with £1.19 right next to ASDA lmao
Ianb
Haha, it's brilliant, our nearest fuel station is on a busy road called Exeter Street, that is an Asda fuel point, it's great fun because not only is diesel cheap I also get the thrill of getting into arguments with a-hole audi drivers that think it's acceptable to sit in the entrance of the station waiting for a free line... Leaving the rest of us blocking the junction. Especially amusing when he starts to lecture me about patience.. My reply was "although my patience is invariably short, on this occasion I am more than happy to wait, I'd just rather not do it on a busy road where I'm blocking a box junction, and a bus lane which more often than not also doubles as an emergency services lane due to traffic levels, so please next time try not to enjoy sitting in your audi bubble without noticing the rest of the world"

Ianb
AUDI = A##h##les Usually Drive It The thing was I had to squeeze ahead of two other drivers waiting to sit next to this audi in order to get out of the road... I signalled to the other guys that 'they are before me, don't worry' and I hinted to the audi that if he pulled forward 2 car lengths we'd all be better positioned... And I did that genuinely nicely as I was in a relaxed happy mood, and apparently I'm impatient... Which is actually quite ironic, and audi driver calling someone else impatient...
Phil 87
Yeah I don't get why people sit at the entrance of the petrol station, surely you can see which "lane" has the least cars queueing and just drive up behind another car.
Ianb
Yeah I don't get why people sit at the entrance of the petrol station, surely you can see which "lane" has the least cars queueing and just drive up behind another car.The most ridiculous part of this all was that there was only ONE lane as they were having a delivery so all the rest were blocked off! What a plank!!!Fortunately I have a highly trained set of skills that diffuse situations, in this situation they involved blowing a kiss and waving goodbye as he glared at me before he got into his car! Hahaha
