Hi Guys/Girls,

I've ordered a Fiesta Zetec S Red Edition on the 04/08/15 and have been given a build date of 11/09/15 and est delivery date of 03/11/15. I know that Fords shut down in July and August, but does this seem a long time, or is it that I'm just being impatient?

Thanks, I didn't know if I was being impatient or just excited.

Ordered mine just before Xmas 2014 and took delivery on 1st March 2015 so seems about right. I was mighty impatient and every day was a struggle. However was definitely worth the wait. Gone for any options?

I ordered a Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 125 Titanium X on 15th July 2015 and was originally given an estimated production date of 28th August and an estimated delivery date to the dealer of WE 5th September 2015. This has now gone back to an estimated production date of 4th September 2015 and an estimated delivery date to the dealer of 26th September 2015.

The original gap from production to delivery was just over a week, now it's estimated to be just over 3 weeks.

I have been told that Ford are currently taking 10 weeks from order to delivery and mine works out at approximately that.

I ordered a Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 100 Titanium X with powershift on 17th July 2015 and was told last week it is scheduled to be at the dealers on 21st September - so the 10 week mark seems to be about the average at the moment.

When I ordered my ST3 back in March it was 2 weeks between ordering and it being ready to collect. I could only collect it a week later due to work commitments though (1st April for 15 plate reg).

I don't know how you guys can wait months between a car being ordered and being delivered! I am waiting a week to get mine and it feels like forever!

What's the difference between a compound car and built to order? Or are order cars just so you can get factory options fitted?

Mine only took 6 weeks from order to delivery. Top of range titanium x with every extra possible apart from leather

Compound cars are already built & stored in compounds in the U.K. awaiting delivery to the stealers

Built to order is exactly that - you can spec the car as you wish - within Frauds spec list for any particular model

Yeah, almost 100% compound car. I went with dealer fitted reverse sensors and everything else was already fitted to the car. Dealer was still surprised that they had my spec in stock that quickly.

When I ordered it the dealer said there wasn't any available, so would have to wait for it to be built.
