Paramanic
Dont want to wee on anyones bonfire but the red/ black is the same intercooler as 100, 125 versions thats why i wrote apparently at the end (as i got informed this on facebook so wasnt 100% thats why a wrote that) but did a search there and thought its weird how they mention the intercooler on 2 sites http://www.at.ford.com/news/cn/Pages/New%20140%20PS%20Ford%20Fiesta%201-0-Litre%20EcoBoost%20is%20Most%20Powerful%201-0-Litre%20Volume%20Production%20Road%20Car%20Ever.aspx https://www.enginelabs.com/news/upgraded-ford-1-0-liter-ecoboost-engine-boasts-140-horsepower/ but anyway i wrote aparently as i wasnt sure :) i messaged ma mate who is a ford engineer :) for a defo answer but as said probs the same

Paramanic
Meh! Haha But the info on the airtec came from the mouths of Collins Performance at Ford fair (not face book or here haha) the thing covered top and bottom grills also as a visual to how big it is looks amazing! dfriel2
The Mountune intercooler might not be the best, but then it doesn't have to be. It needs to be good enough for the MR165 kit, and that's all. If others want to go past this, then other larger intercoolers may well be more appropriate. MONDEO TXS 2.2
The thing with intercoolers is that bigger is not always better & it's a known fact that too big actually diminishes the cooling rate & anyone with any knowledge of physics knows that the cooler the oxygen the better the combustion will be under most circumstances. So, it's efficiency rather than size that matters

I always say look at the torque curve, then think what you want, a fast Road car, track car, or drag car. Personally Mountune seem the best all rounders for me.. MONDEO TXS 2.2
Probably not enough to justify spending £1402 . . . . :(

Russdaz
And where is the radiator! No doubt that will keep charge temp down, but I'd be Co corned of engine temp.
