Think im going to have mine adjusted soon... i find that on unlit country roads the crystal visions do the job! But when it comes to driving through town, main roads etc... they seemed to get drowned out! Kind of considering the likes of diamondvision! I dont do much unlit road driving to be fair! Other than that the crystal visions are still quality just wondering how the diamondvision or coolblue intense would perform?

Well over the weekend I purchased some new bulbs from Halfords as I was having a nose in there and didn't want to wait to order some online and wait for them to be delivered, and I was with my friend who works in a ford garage so we went straight down there and put them in! Also put the LED sidelights in at the same time.

Can't remember the make of them, but I'm pretty pleased with them! The light output is definitely better, and they're pretty white at the same time so it's a win win :)

Had my lights adjusted last month as the dipped beam seemed to be aimed about 5 yards in front of the car. It is a vast improvement I can actually see where I'm going without having to use main beam! Local garage did it for me and only charged £5.

^ They might have just checked that the lights are within the legal limits. When I took mine in I asked them to make sure the dipped beam is adjusted as high as it is allowed to be, and that made a big difference.

Maybe a got ma service soon so will ask them to do the same buddy cheers

Just been reading all the posts and i had a mk7.5 fiesta and i put a set of 6000k 55w HID's in it and they were awesome! Little bit more work to set is ballast pack and wires ect, but took me all of about 30 mins to fit them!

Personally i think they were spot on, had a slight blue tint to them aswell which made it look good!

No problems with police either, even after it getting written of the copper said she should of seen you as them lights will.be bright, but she pulled out on me anyway !

All in all i would recommend these for the fiesta as they have built in projectors which dont disperse the light all over the road! And at £40 you can't complain ☺

I would like some hids but really dont want to take them out for MOT/service and dont fancy fiddling about! Just want white light with good light output. And i understand HIDS are the way to for that but im not fancying the hassle.

I want to try the diamond vision or blue vision hyper...

But not sure how good the light output will be, I do love my crystal visions, but they seemed to get drowned out on lit-streets/roads. And my left one seems to be dimmer than my right, saying that I did scratch one of them pretty bad when fitting them (a rushed job before work) which I could kick myself for!

Try the NightBreaker mate.

Im tempted mate. I want a white look aestechically and good light output that throws light thats sharp! How would you rate the night breakers on that?

As said before, white light isn't gunna give you brighter light so it's always going to be a comprises. Hids will be the only thing that will give you brighter white light.

White light may look cool but isn't any use if you can't see where your going ;)

I was going say exactly the same thing. Something like NightBreakers would be a good overall upgrade because they are much brighter than the standard bulbs and a little whiter too. But if you go for the "xenon look" with something like Crystalvisions as I did, it's a bit of a compromise. I think that's because white light doesn't show up well on dark roads, unless it's really bright like what you get with HIDs.

At least the bulbs are cheap so you can easily try different ones. That's what I did, tried Osram Cool Blues first and was disappointed that something described as "cool blue" gives off a yellow light (although they are a good upgrade over standard). Then went with the Crystalvisions because they match the DRLs with an almost white light.

I've just popped some Nightbreaker Unlimited's in my ST; same colour as the LED's to a T so that's already a bonus. I'll see what the output is like over the next week and feed back on them.

I completely agree with you there! Put them in my focus zetec s the other day and they now match the running lights instead of a white strip and yellow light!

I havent really noticed a difference under street lighting other than it being alot whiter , but on country roads or roads that are not well lit you can really tell the difference. Still not as good as my hid's, but they are a great light for just a bulb upgrade ☺

Been for a run with the Nightbreakers; massive difference over standard and not much different to HID's in all fairness, though my HID Kit was 4 and a half years old.
