I have had my mk3 mondeo ghia x since 2005 bought at 13 months old with 12500 miles on the clock, I had the front springs replaced at 70000 miles, all other issues was small stuff, until I completed 130000 miles, then the wallet had to come out.

The clutch and all 4 injectors had to be replaced (approx £2000) but it was well worth it.

Alternator at 150000 (£200), but still going great and very happy with the car.

Depends on what you mean by repairs - including services and wear parts like tyres, filters etc or just unexpected problems? Bought my 2007 Tdci at 1 year old and driven 110,000 miles. the only real unexpected repairs have been quite minor like new battery, reverse switch, glow plugs and excess on a new windscreen, so total about £350. If you include services and more hefty preventative maintenance like dpf removal, egr delete, timing belt then it about £3500 which I don't think is bad for the time I've had the car or or miles its done.

Current car I've had for just over 6 months, spent a big fat nothing on repairs as car is/was brand new so 3yrs warranty. In fact all its needed in a that time is the side skirt sticking back on where it had broken loose

Had my car about 18 months now, in that time I havent had too bad a problem with it. Its a 57 mondeo, just ticked over to 130,000 miles on the clock. When I bought it, it needed work doing (under warranty) so got an autospark to sort out some wiring issues for the airbag, and also had a new air con compressor fitted.

Since then, I recall spending about £170 on brakes (£100 parts, £70 labour for fitment). I am just about to replace the gearknob (£15) and the aerial base (£15) and I need a new aerial rod. They are the real "unexpected" bills (oh and two tyres for £50)

Also had £650 on the Timing belt at 125,000 miles, but thats a service cost.

I suspect though it has some more work due to it, given ford's ripping apart of my car at its service :p but its still going strong.
