@TomsFocus Nearly 30 cars in 7 years!!!

I passed in Feb 2007. I've only had 5 of my own cars in that time, all Ford's though

I learnt to drive and took my test in my mum's 2001 1.5 dci Clio and used it for the last year of sixth form as she only used it once or twice a week. Then I was insured on her 2005 206 SW 1.6 HDi. That thing had some pace as it was the full 110 bhp version they used in the focus & 307, but shoe-horned in to a 206.

But as for my cars:

  1. Focus Zetec ('02) State Blue 1.8 TDCi (115) - Loved that car initially, but in my inexperience it soon turned out to have been involved in an accident, local garage reckoned it would have been written off, but was just covered up cosmetically. Fortunately I enforced my statutory rights and got a full refund plus costs. Only had this a couple of months as a result
  2. Fiesta Titanium ('10) Panther Black 1.6 TDCi (90) - It was over a year before I bought another car, this was as a result of landing my first full time job on a permanent contract. Great first car enjoyed doing a few bits on it.
  3. Focus Titanium X ('12) Ink Blue 2.0 TDCi (163) - Loved this car, but my short journeys meant it was forever trying to regen and it was a chore to have to keep taking it out on longer journeys just to keep it going, so after 2 years, I decided I need to go petrol.
  4. Focus Zetec S ('15) Magnetic 1.5 EcoRattle (150) - What a disappointment this turned out to be, the reason I'll never buy a car off spec again without driving it. Engine has no character (would rather have had the 1.0), and as many of you know, it rattles! I also thought I could live with the interior finish of the Zetec, but really missed the Titanium and higher finish (soft touch door panels, overhead console, ambient lighting, etc.)
  5. Focus ST-3 ('16) Deep Impact Blue 2.0 EcoBoost (250) - My current car, love this. For some reason it has never quite held the same place in my heart as the Titanium X, but I've never been able to put my finger on why as I can't fault it.

wow. my sorry little list is kind of embarrassing compared to some here :(

Peugeot 306 1.4 (written off by a truck on the M1) (2001-2005)

Peugeot 205 1.8 diesel (cheap replacement for the 306 as needed a car) (2005-2008)

Volvo S40 1.6 (dad always had Volvo's so thought I'd try one out, in hindsight was a big mistake) (2008-2010)

Focus Mk2 1.8 TDCi LX (the current vehicle, but only for a few more weeks) (2010-Now)

Coming Soon...

Fiesta ST-Line 1.0 EcoBoost 140ps Deep Impact Blue (have this on order, just the waiting game till it's ready now) (sometime in October  )

Nope...

Damn OCD makes me keep buying them though!!

I'm actually a vag fan, just don't have the money for it lol.. I'd have had a diesel A3 over the Focus if there wasn't such a price difference for equivalent cars.

Since passing my test in 1989 (yes, I'm old)

There seems to be people with an awful lot of cars they've owned! But then when I look back at my 27 years of driving, there's been a few more than I first realised..

I posed this elsewhere with pictures - everyone like pictures don't they?

------------

1982 Metro 1.3S
1987 Nova 1.3SR
1986 Nova Sport
1993 BMW 320i Coupe
1996 Mondeo 2.0 GLX
1993 Fiat Panda 1.0
1995 BMW 730i (V8)
1996 Escort 1.8 TDi
1993 Fiesta 1.3
1996 Escort 1.8 TD
1999 Puma 1.7 - Got me back into the "Car Scene" and into car Fora. So much so that I made my own with a mate back in 2007
Img0459aP-c.jpg

1993 Mondeo 1.8GLX - stop gap whilst the ^Puma was having work done

mondeo_93.jpg

2006 Mondeo ST TDCi - Thought I'd go "mature" and get something comfy. Was a bit dull though.
DSC_4399-1.jpg

2006 Focus ST2 - Went mental. Was an awesome car, and one of the few I regretted selling. Sold it to a good mate though who looked after it well.
P1010794Medium_zps22456468.jpg

2007 Mazda 3 MPS - More power than the above but had zero personality.
Picture1_zps99c4883b.jpg

2001 Puma 1.7 Thunder - Became a daily driver because of the miles I was doing and didn't want to drive the car below too much
IMG_20140329_173503_zpse2djrk9a.jpg

2005 BMW M3 (sold July 2015) - Bit of a garage queen. Was 100% stone chip free and immaculate. Was scared to drive it! Should have bought a bodywork wreck and enjoyed the 6cyl howl
15148040216_fc4070c5bf_c.jpg

Current little beast: 2004 Audi A2 TDi - 60mpg, just about run in now it's on 108,000 miles. Can almost get the MOT by post it's that over engineered.
19782102536_cacec0d023_b.jpg

Current big beast: 2016 Focus RS. Promised myself a brand new car, might as well make it a good'un.
30479771966_b76a3450bd_c.jpg

Then in a strange coincidence, I stumbled across my previous M3 at Silverstone on Sunday so had to get a snap of them both together:
