Dan P
On parking my car this morning I was amazed to find this baby snail on my rear wheel. I returned to the car ten minutes later and it had made it down from the wheel to the road and appeared to be just fine. I think I'd have felt a little dizzy if I'd made a similar journey! I moved it somewhere safe before I left as I felt it had earned a chance at survival.
MartynS
Maybe it was a hamster in a past life! It's always interesting when they get on the bodywork, either they work their way up through all the suspension parts or a bird drops them there.
Phil 87
Amazing, and it was probably quite easy to stay put on that wheel with the centrifugal (or is it centripetal?) force. And maybe this proves that snails don't get dizzy.
Dan P
And maybe this proves that snails don't get dizzy. We'd need a larger sample size to confirm your hypothesis but I I'm not sure the RSPCA would approve of the methodology!

Haha, yes it would be interesting to know what percentage of snails can stick to an alloy wheel going at 70 mph.
MartynS
I wonder how much difference they make to the balance?
