I have changed my 1.6 Ecoboost filter to a K&N. The K&N 57S-4000 kit is around £125 and comes with a replacement lid with K&N logo. You can just buy the open ended filter though out of the kit for around £60 and keep the factory lid and save the cash. Its an E-9289 filter. Having the open end gives a nice induction sound without the heat soak issues. The dump valve blow off is amplified too which sounds great.

Fully open cone induction filters can draw in the hot air from within the engine bay. This is avoided with the above filter but you still get the induction noise through the open side port. For a remap check out Bluefin or Max'd Out handsets which are reversable incase the car needs any software updates.
