Samc123
Hi Guys I have recently installed a HID Kit into my Fiesta Metal, the first bulbs were at 6000k. I noticed these did not have the blue look I was wanting so installed some "8000k" bulbs but noticed there was no difference in the colour what so ever? They are basically the same bright white light (without blue) as the 6000k were. Am I right in thinking that all I would need to do is change the bulbs to essentially change the output colour? or would something need to be changed on the HID unit itself? Thanks, Sam
CREED
Changing the bulb will change the colour of the light output. 6000K should have a noticeable blue tint to it though. The ballast can have an effect on the light colour though with better ballasts providing a purer white light. What kit did you use?
Marcr1
As above really, what kits are you using? I have a HIDs 4U kit @ 6000k and they're a really nice bright white with a blue hue. When you start going into the realms of 8000k you can kiss goodbye to vision in the rain and they look purple
L22EEW
I had 8000k fitted on mine, were too blue: So swapped for 6000k (much better: I definitely noticed the difference... But hard to tell from the photo's above!
