viamotohonda
Morning all. My name is Andrew I work for a Honda motorcycle dealership in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I have recently been approached by a MK6 Escort owner. He would like to exchange it for a motorbike and I'd like some help with a valuation. It's very much a one off and could be something special to the right person :-) cheers

jeebowhite
to be honest, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if its a modified Ghia model, then its worth less than if its an RS by nature. To be honest though, the best bet is to go to a specialised car club and sell it there to get the best bang for buck. At a guess, to the right buyer, I would say about £4k would be the minimum (as a Ghia conversion), but that would have to be good throughout, bodywork all in tip top shape. It might fetch more at a specialist site If its an RS, then your looking closer to the £8k minimum, and depending on the engine upgrades etc, he could be above £12k quite easily. Some go for high £20k depending on the model How much is the bike he wants?

I want £4300 for my bike - I don't really want it at all unless someone here does. If someone knows of a dealer or specialist who would be interested, let me know. Many thanks people.... jeebowhite
Sorry for the delay in replying. As its been a while this may not be relevant. If its your own personal bike, I would want to dig more into it, is it an RS or is it a modified Ghia? If its original RS, it could be worth the best part of £6k even in a rough state, if its a modified Ghia, its still worth a good amount, but the appeal and resale ability is more difficult. vinnyvangough
Well it's a 5 door so it's def not an RS.It looks !Removed! horribleNo specs on the engine build so I'd say £2500 max
tazzman600
I'd agree on the 2.5G. Because there's no documented proof of what's been done then it's tough for the cars current owner unfortunately.
