wastedyears1981
Took delivery of my new Titanium X 3 days ago..... and within 6 hours I lost my E-cig behind the handbrake level. Somehow, it slipped out of my pocket and straight through the hole behind the level and into the inside of the centre console. Can see me losing many things here. Anyone manage to sort a fix for this or experience the same thing.... I know the easy option is not to put anything in my left pocket.... but Im a forgetful ninny,
mikeyd1
Happend to me with a lighter it's still in there today there needs to be leather or something there the space is massive when hanbrake is up, a poor design by ford they should know better
wastedyears1981
I had to unscrew the centre console and lift it up to get it out. Going to look at ways to block the hole somehow. Seems like a massive design flaw. Still an awesome car though. Loving it to bits.
MarksST
Someone came up with a solution. http://www.strongshapes.co.uk
Preecematt
Found this out the hard way as well lol. Bank card went down there, took ages to get it out. Needless to say, nothing goes near there anymore. Phone has tried to make a break for the gap as well but that fails and ends up between the seat and the console, which is a pain in the backside to get and involves shapes a gymnast would be proud of
mikeyd1
Hmm I might try 1 of them things but could still see coins slipping through. Jogging bottoms and change a major no no
wastedyears1981
I'll be buying one of them. Never again will I spend 2hours trying to fish things out of that bermuda triangle.
Paramanic
I spoke to guy making them on Facebook 2bh £12 odd for a plastic tab pretty much ....... Would rather take console off and make something myself and cover it with leather or go to breakers and get a but of plastic and cut it out then it would match

leeb0672
Try loosing your key for the car down there with your house key on at 11:30 at night! 2 and a half hours it took to retrieve. Car is keyless so at least i could drive to a friends in town..... We couldnt take any of the panels off so had to use our hands and objects to try retrieve them. I still have a magnetic screw driver, hooks, paper clips and several other items down there.....
Cookey09
I've just made a thread about this! Didn't realise there was one already! I've lost one of the metal clips down for the deflectors! How have you lot managed to get things out? It's such an awkward spot to have a gaping gap!

Maxxxykins
Literally only just noticed this... what is the solution?
Cookey09
I thought that with the hover, but the metal clip has gone under the furthest rear cup holder so, not sure if it's wedged, next time I clean my car I'll have a go😏 Considering having an armrest put in anyway. So will have to take this section off.
the_penfool
Happened to me last night, car keys went down there. Took me a while to realise where they were. Drove home, got a wire coat hanger and spent 10 minutes fishing them out. Sounds like I was lucky. Tempted to put a piece of Card or plastic over the hole this weekend. the_penfool
It only went and happened again. Good thing I kept my bent coat hanger! Now taped a bit of Plastic over the hole!

Luke4efc
DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE A DRUG DEALER. So if you get pulled over want to hide your stash of coke, shove it down the hole next to the handbrake. Although it's probably just as easy to get caught, because either way you'll never see it again.
