All cars have a fuel cut off switch that will need resetting.. usually they are in the passenger footwell behind the lower trim panel.

if im not mistaken that is a petrol only feature, but if you set off the airbags, it probably cut this switch as well...

Yep, Diesels don't have cut off switches.

I think it needs resetting with Dealer level diagnostics.

I'm fairly sure cut off switches are found on both petrol and diesels. Obviously on petrol the risk of explosion is high and diesel is harder to ignite but either way in the event of a crash you don't want the engine to continue running. I could be wrong though.

Check the instrument panel: do you have a small padlock symbol or perhaps the words "IMMOBILISER ACTIVE" showing somewhere ? See my post about this stupid bit of design from Ford on my Mondeo, then have a look at YouTube to see whether there's a reset video there.

There is no padlock or immobiliser active sign on the dash board... :-(

you need ford diagnostics plugging in to see what dtcs are shown, or your just guessing.

As the vehicle is still under Fraud warranty, why not see if they'll assist you ?

what code reader are you using?

I think that's only one can system not both which may be why it's lacking codes. Especially as this doesn't do abs or srs systems.

I would suggest get a modified elm cable and also forscan for your tablet and that will nail any error codes.

Hi,

I have exact the same problem after crash. Did you figure it out what was the problem? Thanks.

Sorry for the delay.

Those codes show metering ad you say, egr, and turbo issues. Clear them off, run and check again.

I'm wondering if you need to check the pump fuse and then check if the solenoid of the egr is stuck.

I'm sorry my codes are P0253 instead of P0251, but all other codes are the same. Before crash everything was fine. Now car cranks, but doesn't start. After I clear the codes, P0253 and P245C comes back up right away without cranking, the other two -P0047 and P0045 after trying to crank the car.Car is not starting because of those codes or because of some crash data or some kind of switch, is there anything that I'm missing? Car is 1.6 S Max TDCi.
