Strange72
Hi. I am a new member and i have a mk4 mondeo on a 58 plate. The problem i have is with the cruise control. When it is set at speed and you want to decrease your speed it switches off. I have tried spraying electrical switch cleaner in the steering wheel as told by other people but this has not worked. It plays up every now and then. Has anybody got any idea what it could be? Have been told it could be the software in the ECU. If so i will leave it alone. Thanks. jeebowhite
Silly question, how are you reducing the speed?
santa
Probably too late now... The only way to reduce speed with CC on is to use the brake or click the (-) button. Using the brake automatically switches the CC off.
too big wheels
Had intermittent cruise control problems on S-max - problem with steering wheel position sensor diagnosed and after expensive fix all works OK a year later. The same sensor is also part of the anti-skid system so had to be fixed for safety reasons !!
